Angelina Jolie Wants To Adopt An Indian Child

The 'Changeling' actress revealed her plans to one of the stars of the child "Slumdog Millionaire" - which is in the poorest areas of Mumbai - where she met last month at the Oscars.

Questioned by 10-year-old Mohammed Azharuddin if she would consider adopting a child from its country of origin, India, Angelina Jolie - who is in a long-term relationship with Brad Pitt - reportedly replied: "Well I leave you a little secret, we will soon. "

Angelina Jolie was said to be busy with Azharuddin and Rubina Ali, nine, when she met them at the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles - where "Slumdog Millionaire" picked up eight awards.

Both children were recruited for the film from disadvantaged areas of Mumbai, where they live.

Angelina Jolie, 33, and Brad already raise three adopted children together - Maddox, aged eight, from Cambodia, Pax, five from Vietnam and Zahara, four of Ethiopia.

They have three biological children, Shiloh, two, eight-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
Brad and Angelina Jolie have made no secret of their desire to have more children.

In January, Brad joked the couple was already "overdue" another child, saying: "We average about two a year, so I guess we are late, is not it?"

In 2006, Angelina and Brad visited an orphanage in the Indian city of Pune and spent time to meet the children at the center and giving them gifts.

A senior official of the center said at the time: "Brad and Angelina Jolie were lovely and love children. Every gesture and every aspect of the couple was filled with love for our children and we were floored with their genuine affection."
